Thanks to Azimuth’s emulator XRONet can accurately emulate multipath characteristics with channel correlation in order to determine the effect of real-world multi-channel RF interactions and validate the performance of their MIMO-based WiMAX
products. In addition to providing all these capabilities, the ACE 400WB also enables XRONet to test and debug MIMO algorithms, optimize the performance of WiMAX devices in MIMO and SISO environments and run competitive performance benchmark tests.
Will Kim, CTO of XRONet points out that XRONet is focused on developing cutting-edge wireless technology enabling data, voice and video everywhere. Kim said that by dramatically streamlining their development process, the ACE 400WB will help them ensure the continued creation of the world’s most optimized solutions for mobile WiMAX and WiBro terminals.
Azimuth’s ACE 400WB has been designed from the ground up as a MIMO test solution. The solution is ideal for testing the key technology differentiators of mobile WiMAX.
Azimuth explains that mobility, high throughput and extended range are dependent on the multipath environment for MIMO spatial streaming and advanced antenna techniques, and their company’s bi-directional and reciprocal channel modeling provides this real-world scenario in a lab.
“XRONet’s selection of the ACE 400WB to automate their WiMAX testing is another significant success story for Azimuth,” said Graham Celine, senior director of marketing at Azimuth Systems (

statement.
Celine added that by upgrading their testing to fully dynamic and true MIMO testing, the advanced signal processing technology of the ACE 400WB will provide XRONet with accurate, repeatable and fast results in a laboratory environment – enabling the delivery of higher performance SoC products.
