Speculation about What Apple Television Will Look Like

By Oliver VanDervoort, Contributing Writer

The rumors of an Apple Television have been circulating for a couple of months now. While there has been quite a bit of buzz surrounding the device there have been few details about how it will work or what it will look like. Of course, part of the reason Apple (News - Alert) TV is getting so much buzz is that people want to know how it will be different from the actual Apple TV device. If this particular device is actually going to be an integrated television with the capabilities of what the add-on device can do, then most think it can be viable. Being able to order television episodes with the push of a button is looking like a very big deal to the tech sector.

Most people think that the integrated Apple Television will either get to the market at the end of next year or the beginning of 2013, but Apple has a way of beating most expectations. It would make quite a bit of sense that the Apple Television will become available by next holiday shopping season. In the meantime, there has been plenty of speculation on what the televisions will look like.

Speculation is that the screen will be nice and big with a curved glass display that will also be thinner than most regular television sets. Think of what the Apple computer screens look like now and that is most likely what the Apple Television screens are also going to look like. One cool feature that could really set the Apple TV apart would be the ability to integrate Siri into the design. Imagine being able to tell your television what to look for instead of having to go through the clunky pushing of buttons typing in a letter at a time. Apple TV could also incorporate some of the other things that set its parent company apart. Because the television will almost have to be hooked up to the internet in some way, a webcam built into the front would allow you to go from watching your favorite program to having a “facetime” chat with your favorite person.

The possibilities really are endless when you stop and think about the company that is putting this together.
