ITEXPO Miami: RingByName Selects Grandstream and TeleDynamics to Market Biz in a Box

By Rory Lidstone, TMCnet Contributing Writer

This week at ITEXPO (News - Alert) Miami 2013, Software as a Service (SaaS) developer and unified communications provider RingByName selected Grandstream Networks, a manufacturer of IP voice/video telephony hardware, and TeleDynamics, a full service wholesale distributor of telecommunications products, to market the Biz in a Box (News - Alert) solution to dealers and VARs.

Aimed at the small business market, Biz in a Box is a reliable, multi-handset mobility solution that combines the rich feature set of a high-end PBX (News - Alert) with the convenience and cost savings of VoIP. In other words, this offering aims to provide big business features at a price suitable for small businesses.

This turn-key VoIP solution offers a built-in CRM tool as well as easy-to-use desktop and mobile apps for the delivery of unified communications, collaboration, mobility and improved customer service. On the desktop side, this allows employees to route manage and track calls from their computer with caller data popping up on screen when a call is received. Biz in a Box's mobile app, meanwhile, extends PBX functionality to smartphones and tablets.

Other key features include a quick and easy installation process and Smart Receptionist, which greets callers by name, remembers who they spoke with last, and can provide office hours and team availability and call routing.

"Biz in a Box delivers the most advanced functionality along with low operating costs without the upfront hardware and installation costs," said Kent Terpe, director of Channels and Alliances at RingByName, in a statement. "With RingByName, the customer provides the broadband connection and we provide the rest, including FREE SIP Dect or HD desktop phones with a 1 year commitment combined with shrinking rate plans and a 30 day money back guarantee. Our approach allows any business to stay ahead of the technological curve at the lowest total cost of ownership in the industry."

Meanwhile, Grandstream also introduced a new line of outdoor weatherproof HD IP video cameras at ITEXPO Miami 2013 this week. All cameras in this line are designed to weather any storm for reliable surveillance.

At ITEXPO Austin a few months ago, RingByName also made headlines when it launched a new North American VAR program designed to provide small and medium-sized technology resellers with a head start in the cloud services market.
