IBM Readies for Upcoming Conference
IBM (News - Alert) will be participating at this year’s VoiceCon conference and exhibition. The company will have several high-level speakers at the event as well as a booth presence. IBM encourages people to stop by their booth, #1309 at the upcoming event in Orlando, March 17–20.
Visitors to the IBM booth will have the opportunity to learn more about the company’s Unified Communications (News - Alert) and Collaboration (UC²) strategy, which is designed to help customers leverage their existing IT and telephony investments while making it easier for people to find, reach and collaborate through a unified user experience. IBM describes their unified communications vision as offering software, hardware, services, industry expertise and an extensive IBM Business Partner network for end-to-end UC² solutions.
Among the solutions comprising the overall UC² offering, attendees will have a chance to see IBM Lotus Sametime Unified Telephony, IBM Lotus Sametime Unyte, key UC² services from GTS, plus, the deep integration capabilities of IBM’s strategic alliances and business partners that allow for open, extensible solutions with rich out-of-the box capabilities and custom applications.
IBM Lotus Software General Manager Mike Rhodin will deliver a keynote speech at the event on Wednesday, March 19 at 9:00 am.
Rhodin leads a team responsible for developing IBM’s collaborative technologies and solutions, which integrate people, data, and business processes to create the “human side” of IBM’s Innovation Strategy. Previously he served as Vice President of Development and Technical Support for Lotus Software, working to transform front-end computing. Mike has a passion for simplifying the way people work, improving organizational performance, and helping IBM customers maximize their return on IT investment. Mike will share IBM’s vision and strategy for IBM’s Unified Communications and Collaboration (UC²™) in his keynote entitled, Communicate and Collaborate at the Speed of Business.
