Comverse has announced it completed a project with Cellcom (News - Alert) Israel to upgrade the mobile operator’s own legacy ringback tone service to the company’s Ringback Tone solution. According to Comverse, this upgrade will add new features and improve sound quality of the Ringback Tones.
Comverse (News - Alert) Ringback Tone allows the users to entertain and greet their callers with music and content of their choice while they wait for users to answer the phone. It also allows the users to express themselves and their musical taste. They can also share their favorite music, gags and sound effects from the rich content portfolio - or create content uniquely their own.
Cellcom Israel decided to upgrade its service for ringback tones as they had become hugely popular among users. The company is Israel’s largest cellular operator with more than 3.2 million subscribers. With the high audio fidelity provided by the company, callers can hear the music better and enjoy it more fully, says Cellcom Israel.
“Ringback tones continue to demonstrate rampant popularity and strong growth in many markets around the world because of the pleasure they bring users, and Comverse’s global edge in ringback tone deployments is a tribute to the rich feature set and the high sound quality that we deliver,” said Urban Gillstrom, Group President of Global Sales at Comverse.
By better adapting the content to the interests of individual callers and groups, the users of this new service can have more fun when using ringback tones.
Recently, GTEL Mobile, a new mobile operator in Vietnam, deployed the Comverse ONE Billing and Active Customer Management solution. GTEL Mobile is a joint venture between Vietnam’s GTEL Corporation and VimpelCom. GTEL Mobile also has deployed an attractive portfolio of Comverse HUB Value-Added Services which includes the SMS Center for text messaging, MMS Center for multimedia messaging, and MessagingGateway.
