Lifespan Acquires ScreenPhone Internet Telephony Product

Lifespan Corporation, a firm that was created to develop and guide feasible, economically viable business projects to a profitable and timely conclusion, has reportedly completed the acquisition of a unique Internet access and desktop telephone technology and device called the ScreenPhone.

This acquisition will initially focus on enabling Lifespan to integrate the new ScreenPhone product with the company’s Electronic Medical Evaluation model.

ScreenPhone works with a unique technology which provides instant access to the Internet through attached interactive hyperlinked touchscreens. This technology completely eliminates the need to access Web-based information through a PC.

The ScreenPhone is widely used in areas which demand user-determined access technology. Such markets include medical, security, home technology systems, hospitality/gambling, banking/finance and VoIP.

Each ScreenPhone reportedly has several interactive hyperlinked customer-designed touchscreens with one-touch access to e-mail and all Web functions and sites, high resolution 8.2/10.4 inch full color touchscreen, built-in high speed access (Ethernet/cable/LAN) using cable, wireless or DSL, built-in 56K modem access using a regular telephone line, and large alphanumeric pop-out keyboard.

Also, the device’s resident desktop screens are remotely managed and variable directly from the server. The ScreenPhone can also be configured with a built-in smartcard reader and built-in smart media card for data storage and file transfer. Each unit comes with full Web browsing capability, built-in camera, built-in Voice over IP (VoIP) for free Internet long distance calls, built-in user security system, color printer ready, plug and play, speakerphone, caller ID, memory and speed dial.

“This exciting proprietary ScreenPhone product will integrate seamlessly with the Company’s Electronic Medical Evaluation model. The Company will be advancing the proprietary hardware and software, industrial designs, intellectual property and Web sites in preparation for the product launch,” said Ken Berscht, chief executive officer at Lifespan.

Berscht clarified that this project will allow the firm to offer Internet-based home medical diagnostic and testing products utilizing Smartphones, ScreenPhones and other Internet access devices.
