ESTA of Victoria, Australia Renews CAD Contract with Intergraph

The Emergency Services Telecommunications Authority (ESTA) of Victoria, Australia, has renewed its computer aided dispatch (CAD) contract with Intergraph.

 

An Intergraph customer since 2002, ESTA is one of the world’s largest multi-agency emergency services zones handling calls, emergency dispatch and related information transfer services for emergency services for the 4.5 million residents of Victoria, Australia.

 

ESTA and its Intergraph CAD system most recently met dramatically increased demand during the fires that burned throughout Victoria in February. During this time, calls for CFA Regional reportedly increased from the average 125 calls per day to 2,014.

 

Neil Foster, ESTA chief executive officer noted their organization as one of the best multi-agency emergency communications services in the world, which provides tough performance requirements and stringent accountability measures.

 

Foster pointed out the importance of time in saving lives in their business and said that Intergraph’s CAD technologies enabled them to provide the best service possible to Victorians when they need it most.

ESTA dispatches calls for the following agencies: Country Fire Authority (CFA); Metropolitan Ambulance VictoriaService (AV); Metropolitan Fire Brigade (MFB); Victoria Police (VicPol); and, Victoria State Emergency Service (VICSES).
