Amcom Software Intros New Version of Commtech Messenger

The next generation of Commtech Messenger wireless messaging system from Amcom Software is now available. This latest version can improve a users’ ability to connect all crucial alert systems to mobile staff virtually via their wireless communication devices, including SpectraLink phones, Vocera (News - Alert) badges, and pagers.
The company has introduced a number of features in the new version and it now includes certified interface with Vocera devices. This interface has the ability to deliver critical alarm information from healthcare monitoring systems to Vocera badges. The speed of information sharing enables quicker, more effective responses from an inherently mobile workforce.
TAP Gateway (News - Alert) supports telephony call-back for nurse call integration. Customers now have a user-friendly interface for configuring parameters within virtually any nurse call system. The officials inform that customers with Alcatel equipment can now establish a direct connection between Alcatel wireless phones and nurse call patient monitoring and other clinical engineering systems.
Customers will also be able to view messages dispatched by other users. This means greater visibility to real-time communications, which will ultimately keep staff abreast of notices. Moreover, Commtech Wireless systems now integrate with other Amcom products to provide database synchronization. Any changes made to the Amcom system database are now updated in real time in the Commtech wireless text messaging system database.
Executive Vice President and General Manager, Commtech Wireless, Nathan Buzza pointed out that with this release they aim to provide customers with new and better ways to link equipment from different vendors to ultimately improve productivity and safety.
“Just as we established during our September 2008 acquisition of Commtech Wireless, we are continuing to follow through on our commitment to providing future-looking real-time messaging systems that meet the need for fast, reliable communication in our key markets,” said Chris Heim, CEO, Amcom Software.
