African Operator Deploys OnePIN's CallerXchange

OnePIN has announced that a mobile operator in Africa is deploying the company’s CallerXchange offering to launch a new mobile social address book solution that will help subscribers automatically connect and stay connected to friends, family and business associates with one click on their mobile phones.

Headquartered in Boston, with offices and customers around the globe, OnePIN is a social address book solution for mobile operators.

OnePIN's CallerXchange is a person-to-person contact exchange service that connects people and enhances social networks. It enables subscribers to leverage their mobile social address books as the hub for their social networking.

The African operator said it plans to offer this new value-added service to subscribers in various countries in Africa to enable them to send their contact information to the person with whom they just spoke immediately after a call or SMS.

“This new service will introduce mobile social address book solutions to the African market and we expect the service to take off as it has in other high growth markets such as Latin America," said Feyzi Celik, CEO of OnePIN.

"This operator is known for being the first to deploy value added services that are then adopted on a larger scale by the other affiliates within the group. The viral nature of this new service will spread CallerXchange throughout Africa while driving revenue and strengthening customer relationships for mobile operators."

The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) has found that Africa's mobile phone industry is growing at nearly double the global rate - making mobile phones the main communication tool in this country.

CallerXchange is 100 percent compatible with every standard GSM device in the marketplace.

Recently, the company announced that this new service saw a dramatic usage spike of over 170 percent during the holidays with notable surges on Christmas and New Years as people met new friends at holiday parties and reconnected with old friends and family.
