PROCON Launches the Smallest GPS Tracking Device

Something new from PROCON, a provider of mobile resource management solutions for the automotive finance industry. The company has announced the launch of a revolutionary new GPS device. The company claims that “The CUBE” is the smallest GPS tracking device in the industry.

PROCON’s latest GPS device sports a rugged automotive grade housing that is extremely durable and heat resistant. The company will be distributing this new device through its subprime automotive finance brand GoldStar GPS and informs that people will find the installation of this new device to be much easier than its predecessor.

PROCON expects huge sales volume with this product, according to Kyle Fjelstad vice president of product development for PROCON. He expects The CUBE to change the way the subprime finance automotive industry thinks about GPS tracking devices.

Despite its compact design, the device allows stealth installation, and maintains a significant amount of space at the circuit board level to assure superior GPS performance.

Fjelstad also described the device’s custom hypersensitive GPS antenna, which is designed to overcome the sensitivity issues common in attempts by others to make small credit card size devices.

PROCON is a major provider of MRM products and services and expects annual sales of approximately 300,000 devices this year.

Back in November 2008, the company announced its plan to merge with DriveOK Inc, a fast growing small fleet GPS tracking equipment and services provider in the United States. Through this merger, PROCON will acquire one hundred percent of DriveOK and its affiliates.

Headquartered in Knoxville, Tennessee PROCON provides globally managed, wireless data network that reduces the costs, complexities and risks associated with deploying and supporting mobile applications and connected devices. PROCON offers solutions for government, automotive, consumer, and commercial applications and currently has over 450,000 units being used throughout the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

Now, for those who love the rugged life but can seem to pass orienteering, this GPS might be the answer.
