IP 5280 Unveils SIP Trunking Offering

Denver-based IP5280 (News - Alert) Communications has announced the start of its SIP5280 trunking service that delivers popular telephony features while offering users a potential savings of as much as 70% in local and long distance telephone costs over traditional phone company rates.
The new service offers users standard SIP5280 service features such as E911, DID, local number portability, caller line identification, call waiting, call name retrieval, free on-net calling, directory listing and support of both G.711 and G.729 capabilities.
IP5280 Communications has also announced flat-rate and usage-based pricing options to deliver greater cost savings to small-medium and enterprise customers making the transition to Session Initiation Protocol (News - Alert) (SIP) service. According to the announcement, SIP trunking service delivers integrated voice and data communications over a single IP circuit, allowing businesses to realize as much as a 70% cost savings over local and long distance calling provided by traditional phone companies.
IP5280 co-founder and managing partner Jeffrey Pearl, said, “It's like putting a supercharger on your current phone system. Businesses want to extend the life of their current phone systems and expand functionality, while at the same time save money over traditional PRI-type services from the old phone company.”
