Continuous Computing Corporation (CCPU), a provider of voice over packet platform solutions for telecom equipment manufacturers, announced Dr. Andrew Viterbi,  co-founder of Qualcomm and Linkabit, has joined the company's board of directors.

Video Network Communications, Inc. (VNCI), an enterprise video communications company, announced a strategic appointment to their vertically-focused sales team. Mike Bennis has joined VNCI as the newly appointed director of sales for the government market.

Brooktrout Technology, Inc. announced the appointment of Christopher Thompson to vice president of marketing for the company's Enterprise Markets Group.

Zenastra Photonics Inc. announced it has appointed Michael Fichtner to the position of vice president of Global Sales. Fichtner was formerly the head of global sales with Nortel Networks' High Performance Optical Components Group.

NeuralAct, a provider of call center agent care and workforce management software, announced the appointment of Richard Yalen as the CEO of its USA operation and as deputy chairman of NeuralAct, (Pty) Ltd. (South Africa).

PeopleSupport, Inc., a provider of Internet-enabled customer care and eCRM solutions, announced the appointment of Charles V. Callahan to chief executive officer and to the PeopleSupport board of directors.

VTEL Corporation has named Gordon Matthews, an inventor on more than 35 U.S. and foreign patents, as chief intellectual property officer.

Jeff Mentzer was named chief financial officer at Advanced Data-Comm, a teleservices firm.

Abiliti Solutions, a provider of billing solutions, service and expertise for network service providers headquartered in St. Louis, announced that Don Seiler has joined the St. Louis headquarters sales office as a regional sales manager.

Orchestream Holdings plc, a provider of services activation and performance management software to global telecommunications network operators, announced Curtis Begley as Orchestream's president, North American Operations.

Artesyn Communication Products, LLC, a subsidiary of Artesyn Technologies and a supplier of modular communication boards and software, announced that Jeff Durst has been promoted to director of product marketing.

Respond, Inc., a provider of software and services that increase business profitability through improved customer loyalty, completed a management alignment that better supports the company's customer loyalty and retention vision. Leading the management team is Chief Executive Officer Jim Anderson who was named to the post in late 2000. In addition, Bill Blackmore, a Respond co-founder, serves as Respond's chief operating officer; Dave Budenberg, a Respond co-founder, serves as chief technical officer; John Howarth serves as executive vice president of sales and marketing; and James Heavey serves as vice president of consulting and integration services.

Bonita Software Inc., a developer of Java-based technology to mobilize information and applications to any wireless device, announced the addition of three telecom and wireless industry veterans to its executive team: Bjorn Nordwall as vice president of business development; Anders Molne as vice president of product management; and Jack Petro as vice president of engineering.

Infogain Corporation, a provider of e-business connectivity, customer relationship management, and knowledge management solutions, announced it has named 17-year industry veteran Cindy Dowling to vice president of its Business Intelligence Practice.

Swallow Information Systems, a provider of customer management software solutions, has appointed a new managing director and a sales director to lead its expansion into new markets throughout Europe. Dave Cox has been promoted from product director to managing director, and Graham Spivey joins as sales director.

Atrium Communications, a provider of solutions that deliver corporate communications and learning to the desktop, announced the appointment of David M. Alexander as vice president of North American operations.

Voyant Technologies, Inc. announced that John Guillaume has joined the company in the newly-created position of chief product officer.

GiantLoop Network, Inc., a provider of enterprise optical networking services and technology, announced that Paul C. O'Brien, an industry leader with more than 30 years of telecommunications experience, joined its Board of Advisors.

Hipbone, Inc., a provider of real-time Web interaction solutions for e-sales and e-service, announced that industry veteran Bob Schulman has been named vice president of engineering for the company.

Rissa Solutions Oyj, a supplier of mobile customer service software, announced significant changes to its board of directors, including the election of Per Norling, CEO of SmartUp Ab, as chairman.

eOn Communications Corporation, a provider of unified voice, e-mail and Web-based communications systems and software, has appointed Tom Buiel as senior vice president of sales.

CAIS Internet, Inc. announced the composition of its new senior management team: Michael Lee, president and CEO; Andrew Hines, EVP and CFO; Mike Abbott, Sr. VP and CTO; Amit Rikhy, Sr. VP, Strategic Planning; Steve Roberts, Sr. VP, Internet Sales; Michael Martinez, Sr. VP, Hospitality Sales; and Peter Benedict, Sr. VP, Marketing.
