JFAX.COM Inc. named Scott Turicchi, former managing director for the international investment banking firm of Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette (DLJ), as its new executive vice president of corporate development.

Tornado Development, a leading provider of unified messaging technology, announced a wide range of promotions and appointments as it expands into the global marketplace. Jeff Scheinrock moves to CEO of Tornado in addition to maintaining his duties as president and CFO. Kevin Torf, founder of Tornado Development, is now the company's chairman and CTO. Chris Callahan was appointed as the new vice president of sales. Two additional executives were added to the Tornado management team: Sam Balooch is now vice president of operations, and. John Koelsch joins Tornado as the vice president of development. Finally, to further increase its global reach, Tornado Development will open a new office in Hong Kong, headed by managing director of the Asia/Pacific region Stanley Chao.

Broadview Networks, a network-based integrated communications provider to business and residential customers,announced that it has created the position of executive vice president, customer relationship management, and appointed Tracy W. Korman to fill it.

WebTone Technologies, Inc., an e-business enabler providing secure, customer relationship building solutions, has named Roger Maloch chief financial officer.

Digi International Inc. announced that Michael Bantz has joined the company as vice president of North American sales.

Taqua Systems, Inc., a provider of next generation distributed switching platforms for voice and data network convergence, announced that Royce J. Holland, chairman and CEO of Allegiance Telecom, Inc., and James "Jim" Hynes, former CEO of COLT Telecommunications, have been appointed to the company's Board of Directors.

Geodesic Systems, Inc., provider of technology solutions that automatically improve the performance, availability and reliability of business-critical servers, announced the appointment of Pete McLoughlin as vice president of sales.

HotData Inc., a real-time provider of value-added consumer and business information via the Internet, announced the appointment of Darryl Worsham as vice president of sales. Worsham will spearhead the development of HotData's sales into the e-business market and the mid-tier/enterprise customer relationship management (CRM) markets, as well as oversee sales of HotData's successful small business and SOHO offerings.

Tellabs announced that Richard C. Notebaert, retired chairman and chief executive officer of Ameritech Corporation, has been nominated to join Tellabs Board of Directors. He would replace Dr. John D. Foulkes, who is stepping down from the Board after 12 years.

MessageClick, a unified messaging company, announced that Helen Seltzer, an IT and telecommunications executive who has held senior positions at MCI, Bell Atlantic and BDM, has joined MessageClick as president and chief operating officer.

Pingtel Corporation announced the appointment of Mark Thirman to the position of vice president of business development. Thirman brings a rich and diverse background to the position, with over eighteen years of experience developing high growth business partnerships in the telecommunications and networking industries.

dynamicsoft Inc., a provider of Internet infrastructure solutions for delivering next-generation communications services, named Eric Sumner as president and chief executive officer (CEO).

IntelliSwitch, global provider of voice over IP solutions, announced the addition of its new chief financial officer, George D. Williams. The company also announced the addition of its vice president of technical operations, Dave Kleiman.

Motorola and Cisco Systems, Inc. announced the appointment of Myron Wagner to president and general manager of SpectraPoint Wireless LLC, a jointly-owned subsidiary that provides Local Multipoint Distribution Services (LMDS) products and systems. Ed Cantwell, who led SpectraPoint and it's predecessor organizations since 1995, will become director of strategic marketing at Motorola's Fixed Wireless Systems Group (FWSG).

Geoworks Corporation, a pioneer in mobile data communications services and technologies, announced it has appointed current Board member David Neylon as chairman of the Board, replacing Gordon Mayer, who has resigned.

Ennovate Networks, a provider of carrier-class IP service provisioning products, has appointed Dennis Taffe as vice president of business development. In this position, Taffe will be responsible for developing Ennovat's relationships with strategic partners, distributors and OEMs.

The Global TeleExchange (The GTX), a full-service business-to-business portal and real-time applications exchange for the telecommunications industry, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jack Kemp to its Board of Directors. Kemp is currently co-director of Empower America, a public policy and advocacy organization that he co-founded in 1993. Previously, Kemp served as a congressman for 18 years and Secretary of Housing & Urban Development from 1989 to 1993.

Teledyne Technologies Inc. announced the appointment of Robert J. Steenberge as chief technology officer. Steenberge will coordinate Teledyne's strategic thrust to significantly expand its base of products and services for rapidly growing broadband communication applications.

Novazen, Inc., provider of an Internet-based software for Internet customer care, electronic bill presentment and payment (EBPP), and bill consolidation, announced the appointment of industry veteran Robert M. Holburn, Jr. as the companys new chief financial officer.

PacketVideo Corporation announced that Ed Knapp has joined the company as senior vice president of wireless distribution with plans to open a New Jersey office.

Arbinet Holdings, Inc., a leading exchange for trading and delivering telecommunications capacity, announced that Norris M. "Buddy" Hall, III has been named senior vice president, Network Operations and Development.

Davox Corporation, a developer of customer contact solutions, announced the appointments of Mark Zabroske as director of North American sales and Lee Kayne as regional vice president of the Southern region. Both executives have been key members of the Davox sales force.

Planet Intra announced that co-founder Suresh Mathai will join the company full time as director/vice president of worldwide marketing. Mathai will help to refine the positioning of Planet Intra's powerful Intranet application, an ASP solution targeted to medium-sized businesses and divisions of large corporations worldwide.

Phonetic Systems, a recognized leader in speech recognition solutions, announced two additions to its executive team. The company named Mark P. Baltier to vice president and chief financial officer, and Mark R. Rubin to vice president of sales and marketing.

Seeking to aggressively pursue the Internet Protocol (IP) telephony marketplace in North America, ArelNet Ltd., a subsidiary of Arel Communications & Software, Ltd., announced the creation of a U.S. subsidiary, ArelNet, Inc., based in Norwood, New Jersey. Dr. Matti Laserson, with nearly 20 years of experience launching new companies as well as marketing new technologies, has been named president of the new company.

KSCL has appointed John McNeil as key account manager within its UK and Ireland division. McNeil will be responsible for managing KSCL's relationships with major UK clients such as BT Cellnet. McNeil's appointment is part of KSCL's strategy aimed at maintaining the highest possible service levels to its customers.
