Convergys Corporation announces the appointment of Stephen L. Robertson as executive vice president of operations for the corporation's Information Management Group. In addition, the board of directors of elected James F. Orr as its new chairman to replace Charles S. Mechem, Jr., who is retiring as chairman of Convergys at the Annual Meeting on April 25. Orr will continue to hold the titles of president and chief executive officer as well.

Broadview Networks, a leading-edge, facilities-based integrated communications provider (ICP) in the Northeast, announced the election of Stuart A. Mencher and Heidi B. Heiden, driving forces in the competitive communications industry, to its board of directors.

Telocity, Inc., a broadband services company, announced the appointment of Edward J. (Ned) Hayes, Jr. as its new chief financial officer and executive vice president.

ShelCad Communications Ltd. announced the appointment of Ron Yatziv as its new VP business development. Yatziv will focus on developing strategic as well as new products and markets for the award-winning Internet telephony company.

Wildfire Communications, Inc., announced that Paul J. Detering, formerly the company's vice president of worldwide marketing, has been named president and CEO. Detering takes over this role from Dan Hoy, who will assume a strategic role as vice chairman.

Gigabit Wireless, Inc. (GWI), a developer of next generation broadband wireless access technologies, announced that Levent Gun, former vice president of 3Com's Cable and Home Networking Division, has been appointed president and chief executive officer.

telecom technologies, inc. announced that Eric L. Pratt has joined the company as executive vice president in charge of sales, marketing and professional services.

IntelliSwitch, a global provider of voice over IP solutions, announced the addition of its new vice president of sales, Lorenzo Fierro.

Call Sciences, an international supplier of enhanced telecommunication services, announced the appointment of Vernon Poyner as chief operating officer, as part of its strategic plan to maintain its core focus on providing the next-generation of enhanced telecommunication services.

eVoice, Inc., a supplier of free private voice mail with home answering capability, has named Jessie Le Moullac vice president of engineering. Le Moullac will take over all of the day-to-day engineering management functions for eVoice, including product development, product testing, and day-to-day software development and administration (both phone and Web).

The addition of several national clients to Roska Direct's $42 million full-service direct marketing business prompted them to hire Bobbie Hagen as vice president, account management. Hagen, most recently president of DMW Worldwide's New York office, has grown business for clients in the financial services, insurance and healthcare industries.

Tachion Networks, innovators of the Collapsed Central Office, announced that Dr. Robert Gourley has joined the company. Prior to Tachion, Gourley was senior scientist at MCI WorldCom, managing MCI's Tulsa, Oklahoma service provider infrastructure testing laboratory.

Telecommunications equipment manufacturer Tellabs named Joan E. Ryan chief financial officer. Ryan succeeds Peter A. Guglielmi, who has served as Tellabs’ executive vice president and CFO since 1988, and will continue to participate as part of the executive team and direct the company’s investor relations efforts for an
appropriate transition period.

GRIC Communications, Inc., a provider of value-added Internet services for service providers, including global Internet roaming and VoIP, announced that it has named Joseph M. Troche as vice president of international carrier sales.

Clarent Corporation, a leader in carrier-grade, phone-to-phone IP telephony solutions, announced the promotion of two seasoned executives: Dr. Peter Bohacek to senior vice president of Business Development and Product Marketing, and Ilene Harding to vice president of Worldwide Legal Services and Sales Administration.

Luminous Networks, a provider of carrier class Gigabit IP over fiber optical access switches, announced that William Reid has joined the company as vice president of sales.

Coollogic, a provider of Internet Ready appliances powered by an embedded Linux operating system, announced that Edward H. Ghafari will serve as the company's vice president of marketing.
