NetApp Partners with Liquid Computing, Readies for NXTcomm08 Exhibit

Liquid Computing, Inc., the developer of LiquidIQ, a fully virtualized communications and computing system, and NetApp have joined forces to provide customers with innovative data center solutions by combining networking, computing, and storage capabilities.
Both companies will exhibit integrated data center solution at NXTcomm08, June 15-17 at AMD (News - Alert) booth #SL1620. The combined solution effectively offers customers a data center in a box through which they can combine easy and non-disruptive management systems. The solution enables the customers to provide services without the complexity of day-to-day management or integrating individual nodes, disks, appliances, servers, or networks.
Patrick Rogers, vice president of Solutions Marketing at NetApp said in a statement that this partnership will help their customers overcome complexity in the data center with an innovative approach to dynamic management of compute and storage assets. He is confident that together they can help customers rethink their data centers, resulting in lower overall operating costs for their target industries.
Rogers added that the company is helping customers and partners speed deployment of applications, ease provisioning and management, and maintain a competitive edge in their respective markets.
Greg McElheran, president and chief executive officer of Liquid Computing noted that both companies are working together to provide their customers and partners with a fully integrated data center IT infrastructure that is dynamic and easy to manage.
Their integrated solutions will make servers, network switches, storage networking, virtual providing customers a consistent and unified management view across all of their data center resources. McElheran said that this delivers complete flexibility to dynamically provision and allocate resources in minutes to any specific application or business requirement.
NetApp creates innovative storage and data management solutions that accelerate business breakthroughs and deliver outstanding cost efficiency. The company recently expanded its portfolio of storage and data management solutions for virtualized IT environments that include Microsoft (News - Alert) Windows Server 2008, Microsoft SQL Server 2008, Exchange Server 2007, and Microsoft Hyper-V.
NetApp SnapManager 5.0 for Exchange Server, Single Mailbox Recovery 5.0, and SnapManager 5.0 for SQL Server are all now immediately available and compatible with Hyper-V, according to company officials.
