Atinav Releases Java-Based Web Interaction Solution That Enhances CRM, Help Desk, And Distance Learning Software

Atinav Inc., a provider of universal Internet access and communications applications for the digital economy, launched its new highly customizable, Java-based software technology that enhances the existing functionality of traditional CRM (customer relationship management), help desk, collaboration and distance learning programs. Named aveCOMM, it provides robust, feature-rich modules such as voice communication over the Internet, application sharing, white board, co-browsing, HTML form sharing, and more.

Anderson Consulting estimates that 35 percent of online shoppers who experience problems on a Web site will leave for another, more manageable site. This, coupled with the increasing growth of Internet usage, reinforces the need for enhanced online customer support tools.

aveCOMM was developed to provide software vendors, large enterprise organizations, educational facilities, etc. that need communication and collaboration tools-beyond the phone, fax and e-mail -- with enhanced customizable Internet-based capabilities, such as:

  • Real-time collaborative support capabilities: With aveCOMM, an Internet connection and a multimedia computer, users can select how and when they collaborate -- the date, time and location, the application and tools, and method(s) of communication (voice, text, graphics).
  • High-quality audio and visual resources: Enables traditional landline-quality conferencing, training classes, free flow of ideas (graphics, illustrations, text), form sharing, and co-browsing over the Internet.
  • Java-based, open-platform design: Ensures current and future compatibility with other audio and video conferencing and telecommunications technologies.

"aveCOMM is completely platform independent," says James Jose, CEO, Atinav Inc. "Written in Java, aveCOMM allows anybody, anywhere, with a multimedia PC and an Internet connection, to have the ability to interact visually and verbally with a person regardless of their operating system or what platforms or databases the server is using. And, our product easily can be customized with unlimited options to fit the needs of the consumer, because of its modular architecture."

aveCOMM has many value-added features for numerous applications, such as:

  • CRM: Directing customers to a customer service representative (CSR) without leaving the original Web site; immediate access to customer information; online document and form sharing for interactive editing or completion with customers to help close the sale; real-time voice communications (quality and ease of use comparable to a traditional landline).
  • Conference Center Collaboration: Accessing and conferencing with any amount of people (i.e., customer, sales representatives, other CSRs, etc.); ability to leave a voice mail via a multimedia PC if someone is unavailable; real-time collaboration with white boarding for the sharing of ideas, graphics and text; holding live training forums; recording conferences or presentations for later use.
  • Help Desk Tools: Reduction in long distance charges for inquires handled over the Internet; automation of help features to free up CSRs time to provide better service at a lower cost; posting of responses to frequently asked questions that can be played back at the prompt of a customer.
  • Distance Learning: Real-time, two-way interaction (student-to-student(s) and professor-to-class); full collaboration via application sharing (i.e., Word, Excel, etc.); co-browsing of Web information; one-on-one chat functions, as to not disturb others in the session.

Jose added: "We see a tremendous market opportunity for aveCOMM. We plan on leveraging the breadth of this product by aggressively marketing it to a diverse customer base, from large Fortune 500 corporations that need to enhance their existing CRM capabilities to software providers that want to include aveCOMM in their product offerings to educational institutions that want to enrich their distance learning programs."

aveCOMM is available starting today. As aveCOMM is based upon a modular architecture, pricing varies depending upon the applications a customer desires.
