In Las Vegas this week at Interop (News - Alert), a huge business technology and IT-centered show, vendors and thought leaders collide to share developments and solutions that improve business processes.
One such participant is Opengear (News - Alert), a provider of console servers, out-of-band management and remote infrastructure management solutions. Opengear plans to hit the ground running by showcasing its full suite of remote infrastructure management and data center infrastructure management solutions at booth #2363.
Opengear’s team has also been selected by UBM TechWeb’s (News - Alert) InteropNet’s NOC team to manage the show’s network with its IM4200 set of console servers. For the second year in a row, Opengear will monitor and manage Interop’s show network and will be active participants in speaking engagements and awards programs throughout the week.
Managing the Interop show network essentially means Opengear’s solutions will operate the out-of-band access for device configuration and troubleshooting for the show floor and off-show floor production infrastructure. With logging configuration history, secondary secure wireless and cellular connections, redundancy and fault tolerance and emergency recovery, Opengear’s solutions will ensure connectivity and reduce the potential for out-of-band network outages.
Of course, Interop is just a few days long, so Opengear has designed the entire network monitoring system to be set up and torn down rapidly, adjusting to the temporary nature of the show.
The company’s AMC5504-5-G-I RIM Gateway is a finalist for Networks Products Guide HOT Companies & Technologies 2012. It competes in the categories of Most Innovative IT Hardware, Network Management, Infrastructure and Best IT Hardware.
John Bedrick (News - Alert), chief marketing officer and VP of product management for Opengear, plans to present during a session on May 10 at 12:15pm at the show titled “Out-of-Band RIM for IT and Operational Technology.” The session and Bedrick’s talk will describe the requirements for IT and OT-related remote management.
Join Opengear at the show and experience live product demonstrations of out-of-band management solutions, discuss network infrastructure management with its leaders, and watch out for its wins during the awards programs.
