By Michelle Robart, TMCnet Editor
Network Equipment Technologies (News - Alert) (NET) announced today its will present a line of NET VX Series and Quintum Tenor VoIP
switching gateways, along with its NX Series high bandwidth multi-protocol switches at the Interop (News - Alert) show in Las Vegas.

As a global provider of multi-service network and VoIP solutions for government and enterprise customers, NET (News - Alert) will be displaying its product lines at the Mandalay Bay hotel and Casino on April 29th, 30th and May 1st.
NET’s wide range of products are purpose-built for mixed-service, multi-protocol networks; bandwidth-sensitive site communications; high-performance, security- sensitive transmissions; and converged communications.
The company's NX Series for network exchange solutions and VX Series for voice exchange solutions allow interoperability and integration with existing networks for seamless migration to secure IP-based voice and data communications.
A subsidiary of NET, Quintum (News - Alert), brings VoIP access solutions that provide the reliability and voice clarity of public telephone networks to Internet telephony.
NET’s VX Series advanced VoIP switching gateway offers “Any-to-Any” voice switching (SIP to SIP, TDM
to TDM and SIP to TDM) to simplify VoIP network integration. Providing characteristics not usually available in standard gateways, the VX Series allows for advanced call security, an integrated Session Border Controller
, and remote office survivability, making the VX Series an ideal enterprise VoIP switch for high performance unified communications applications.

Quintum’s Tenor VoIP MultiPath switch creations will also be on display at the show. The Tenor presents a Unified Communications Proxy, which also supports “Any-to-Any” VoIP switching. Known for their range of VoIP enterprise gateway options and designs,
Tenors are able to maintain 2 analog FXS/FXO ports up to 32 T1/E1/PRI spans.
The NET VX Series and Quintum Tenor are both licensed by Microsoft to be compatible with Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 and NET and Quintum have achieved Microsoft Gold Partner certification.
NET’s NX Series high bandwidth switching solutions will also be on display. Improved to prolong the InfiniBand fabrics over thousands of kilometers, the NX Series will provide multi-Gigabit connectivity between servers and storage all over the globe. These easy-to-manage, small-footprint systems greatly surpass TCP/IP-based alternatives in terms of bandwidth scalability and low latency - allowing the real-time data synchronization, backup, and disaster recovery needed for building virtual clusters across large distances.
“NET is addressing some of the challenges faced in deploying some of today’s most advanced networks,” says Chuck Rutledge (News - Alert), VP of Corporate Marketing for NET. “The NET VX Series and Quintum Tenors are addressing the needs of companies that want to deploy new VoIP and unified communications applications while leveraging their existing voice network. The NET NX Series is supporting customers’ needs to build larger, more complex high bandwidth virtual computing and storage clusters.”
