PCTEL to Debut Wireless Accessories at HIMMS in Las Vegas

PCTEL (News - Alert) Inc. is a global leader in propagation and optimization solutions for the wireless industry. PCTEL will be debuting some new wireless mobile accessories at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMMS) this week.
Only a couple of days ago, PCTEL made a major announcement when it’s fourth quarter revenue numbers came in showing the company had over $20 million in revenue by the end of 2011. PCTEL has an increase of eight percent over the same period last year. PCTEL’s has shown a gross profit increase of over two percent since 2010.
“Our operating results validate our investments in LTE (News - Alert) test equipment, our new, MX scanning receiver, and our advanced GPS and industrial wireless antennas,” said Marty Singer, Chairman and CEO of PCTEL. “We look forward to the continued expansion of our vertical markets, the rollout of TD-LTE in China, and some commercial success for the ProsettaCore security solution,” added Singer.
Since the revenues were announced the company has given some insight into the products it will be showcasing at HIMMS. Some products include the PCTEL’s ultra-wideband antennas that do not require field tuning for 3G/4G technology that would also be available to be installed inside of a consumer’s vehicle. PCTEL also is prepared to show some Bluetooth innovations and wireless antennas that can be used for various mobile applications.
“Over the past two years, PCTEL has concentrated significant sales, marketing, and R&D efforts to expand its presences within key vertical markets including healthcare, industrial wireless, fleet management, public safety, and cellular offloading. The timing of this strategy coincided with the rapid worldwide adoption of high bandwidth applications and the deployment of smartphone and wireless tablet devices in the same vertical,” said Jeff Miller, PCTEL’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
Miller said as a result the company has been working with clients to expand its services to include products customers can’t live without. “As a result, PCTEL is expanding its product offering to include other wireless accessories and provide a broad set of solutions to address our customers’ needs.”
PCTEL, located at booth # 5064, will have representative’s on-hand to give demonstrations of the new products and answer any attendees’ questions until Thursday at the HUMSS show in Last Vegas.
