Global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, Huawei, announced today at CTIA Wireless (News
- Alert) 2012 that it will continue to deliver comprehensive ICT solutions for carrier, enterprise and consumer-level customers.
The Chinese smartphone manufacturer acknowledged the rapid increase in demand for consumers to stay constantly connected, placing significant pressure on mobile network providers to offer greater network capacity, particularly in the United States.
Not only that, but consumers demand an enhanced user experience with devices that operate on mobile networks. Huawei (News - Alert) is positioned to drive next-generation technology at all levels from carrier networks to handheld and smartphone devices by way of its expertise in both sections of the mobile industry.
The company also showcased a number of products and solutions at CTIA Wireless 2012, meant to enhance mobile broadband networks, including new devices, many of which have been recently launched, including both smartphones and tablets such as the Ascend P1, Ascend D Quad and the 10" MediaPad; Huawei’s Active Antenna System (AAS), and Adaptive Radio Unit (ARU) which supports integrated radios and antennae; a Non-Line-of-Sight (NLOS) wireless backhaul Point-to-Multipoint solution called eRelay; new capabilities of Single Self Organizing Networks; and a new 1024 QAM modulation scheme.
Most interestingly, however, out of Huawei’s showcased products and services was its AtomCell next-generation platform for small cells. The unit is designed for site optimization and ease of deployment and constitutes the basic component of the company’s AtomCell solution. The Atom applies advanced technologies to integrate baseband, radio frequency and power amplifier functionality in one small box.
Huawei’s products and solutions have been deployed in over 140 countries to date, serving more than a third of the world’s total population and is dedicated to forwarding mobile technology. The company was recently recognized by the Network World (News - Alert) Middle East Awards 2012 as 'Managed Services Provider of the Year in Telecoms.'
