Powerwave Technologies Unveils High Null Fill Antenna
By Anil Sharma, TMCnet Contributor
Powerwave Technologies has introduced a new high null fill antenna, expanding its growing line-up on antenna solutions at CTIA (News - Alert) Wireless 2008.
Powerwave’s high null fill, which is designed for use in suburban and rural areas and with high tower deployments of 20 meters (60 feet) or greater, supports frequency
bands of 1710MHz to 2170MHz.
The high null fill antenna, which measures 1309mm x 167mm x 89.5mm and weighs 10.1 lbs, provides coverage at angles below the main vertical beam for locations where levels of multi-path are low, such as in rural areas. This ensures consistent performance over the entire band, and the elimination of dead zones.
“Powerwave (News - Alert) continues to lead the industry in the development of coverage and capacity solutions that enable network operators and OEMs around the globe to solve a wide range of real-world challenges,” Bill Vassilakis, senior vice president, Global Research and Product Development, Powerwave Technologies said.
“By extending our antenna product line to include a high null fill antenna, we are able to help our customers improve the consistency of network performance and eliminate ‘dead zones.’”
