Digital Filing Systems Dive into the Cloud with NeatMobile
By Colleen Lynch, TMCnet Contributor
Nowadays the tech market’s head is in the cloud, and even digital filing system companies are responding to the increased market demand for cloud-based systems.
Neat is one such company, and in 2013 it updated its NeatMobile application to better work with the cloud and today’s customers who expect such capabilities from their digital filing systems.
“As we enter the post-PC era, more than ever before, people are demanding access to solutions that better manage their information in the personal cloud,” said Neat’s CMO Kevin Garton.
NeatMobile’s updates have added new features and functions in various areas, including editing, organization, and sharing.
“Neat has set the standard,” said Garton, adding that the updates to NeatMobile create “a single solution where users can easily acquire, organize, access, search, and share their information from any device.”
The utility of NeatMobile is greatly enhanced with features such as mobile camera scanning, the ability to extract data from the images, and custom selection of which data to keep and which to leave out.
Additionally, NeatMobile can now share individual files or folders with anyone at any time. Customizable options for sharing and the ability to communicate and comment with the person you are sharing with allows the user to have the ultimate control in the cloud, which is what customers want most.
“Neat’s combination of cloud and mobile services, desktop software and hardware scanning solutions help people transform information in a way that will simplify tasks and re-gain time,” said Garton.
Neat’s complete line of Digital Filing System solutions are available for purchase on its website Neat.com, and NeatMobile is available for iOS mobile devices and Android (News - Alert) smartphones, with plans for an Android tablet version to be released sometime in 2013.
The company recently debuted its NeatMobile updates and demonstrated the complete lineup of its Digital Filing System solutions at CES (News - Alert) 2013 on January 8th.
