Pharrell Williams, along with being a musician, Grammy winner and music producer, has now applied himself to science.

Williams has just formed a partnership with Liquipel LLC, a company that is dedicated to discovering the newest science of waterproof technology. For the past five years experiments were done on our favorite electronic devices that led to the discovery of a process that not only waterproofs them, but changes their molecular form.

The idea of having a smartphone with an invisible shield against water sounds astonishing for our own individual purposes, but it is even more so for science. As industries begin to join the technology revolution, it is evident that it is no longer limited to electronics. The medical field has embraced and coined the term mHealth (mobile health) along with the advertising world, which is now teaming up with social TV apps.

Liquipel is the first and only company in the world that offers the science of applying a waterproofing coating to your electronic device of choice to protect it from exposure to liquids. This Nano-Coating is applied through a process that involves putting your device inside the Liquipel Machine, where all the air is removed and the Liquipel formula is introduced in a vapor form. This process allows the coating to permeate throughout entire device and bonds to it on a molecular level, leaving you with a liquid resistant cell phone.

In order for your device to undergo this process, it has to be shipped out to a Liquipel where it will receive its Nano-Coating and sent back within a few days.
