The world leading provider of premium automotive accessories ESCORT Inc. has had a busy week at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES (News - Alert)) 2012, taking place Jan. 10-13 in Las Vegas, Nev., as the company unveiled two new products.

ESCORT will also be demonstrating its multi-award winning new ESCORT Live ticket protection network, as well as ESCORT’s first ever mobile fleet office solution, ESCORT SmartOffice, and ESCORT MobileTV, a connected Mobile Digital TV receiver.

“It's widely known that ESCORT provides the most advanced radar and laser defense on the market. We've raised that bar with ESCORT Live and continue to redefine 'driving smarter' with new technologies like Smart Office and Mobile TV,” ESCORT President and CEO John Larson noted.

The new solutions were demonstrated at ESCORT's official CES Press Conference on Wednesday, Jan. 11.

ESCORT SmartOffice has been designed to offer complete office functionality into a single, lightweight, connected mobile device. Based on familiar Microsoft (News - Alert) Windows 7 PS and complete PC functionality, SmartOffice includes navigation, point-of-sale credit card processing, fleet vehicle management, remote inventory/CRM management, barcode/RFID reader, reverse camera option and fleet transportation/logistics monitoring. 

SmartOffice has been designed to give drivers and service providers all of their office tools fast, in the field, in real time.

After nabbing four major industry awards, ESCORT Live also won the CES 2012 Innovations Design and Engineering Award. Leveraging Bluetooth technology embedded in SmartCord Live cords and a unique app for the driver's smartphone, ESCORT Live has been designed to send alerts to the motorists. When alerts are detected, they are transmitted to the ESCORT Live "cloud" and then broadcast across the ESCORT Live network, notifying drivers of potential ticket threats, ESCORT officials said.

In addition to network alerts, ESCORT Live also provides ESCORT's industry-leading Defender database of red light and speed-ticketing camera locations and speed traps as well as ESCORT's patented GPS features including posted speed limit information, over-speed limit alerts, live traffic for route optimization and more.

The company’s complete line of premium automotive accessories, including ESCORT Live, ESCORT SmartOffice mobile rugged PC and ESCORT's MobileTV solution, were on display.

Earlier this week, Verizon (News - Alert) Wireless and ESCORT jointly announced a technology collaboration using Verizon's 4G LTE (News - Alert) network and the ESCORT SmartOffice Mobile Rugged PC, which will interface with public safety and emergency response command centers, assisting public safety first responders in monitoring, managing and answering emergency calls.
