Oui, Oui! DimiTel Powers French Business With VoIP

VoIP is rapidly taking over enterprise communications worldwide. Today, Quantech Electronics Corp., through its recently acquired wholly owned subsidiary London-based DimiTel Ltd., announced the launch of its commercial Voice over IP (VoIP) (define - news - alert - tutorial) service for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) in France. The company announced the completion of this international telephony platform based on SIP technology for corporate and home customers just two months ago.

DimiTel plans to start delivering the VoIP-based telephony services to SMEs during next year’s first quarter. The company will use its DimiTalk switch service, and install a small VoIP gateway on the premises of the customer. The company has already signed contracts with a few distributors in France. The DimiTalk Retail Solutions suite enables the outsourcing of voice retail services such as calling-cards, short messaging services (SMS) and CallBack.

DimiTel's products range from VoIP whole billing systems to complex calling card systems, enabling clients and distributors to implement tailored switching and billing systems. The company currently operates three major POPs worldwide in New York City, London and Hong Kong, and numerous switching facilities worldwide. DimiTel's platforms are commercially used with more than 20 Telecom operators, calling card operators and partners -- such as China Unicom, North West Telecom, Bezeq Int. and Linear Networks.

According to Rony Cohen, the managing director of DimiTel, "Dimitel is extremely happy to be finally launching the product commercially in France. It is the beginning of an already growing market in France."

The VoIP service will be used through the VoIP gateway and will re-route the customer's switchboard traffic through DimiTel's network. The company says its users will gain considerable reductions on their international telephony costs.
