Carousel Industries Nets Midmarket Partner of the Year Award from Avaya
The communication, network technology, professional, managed service and cloud provider received the award during the Avaya Americas Executive Partner Forum in San Diego.
"Our entire team is grateful for this recognition by Avaya for the third year in a row,” Jim Marsh, chief revenue officer of Carousel Industries, said. "The midmarket remains a critical segment of our overall business. As we continue to strengthen and grow our customer base in this market, we look forward to working closely with Avaya to make 2016 even more successful."
Carousel received the award on the strength of its sales to midmarket companies in 2015 as well as capturing new midmarket opportunities. The company is part of Avaya’s Connect Partner Program, a program for Avaya’s global resellers.
Partnerships like these allow both Avaya and its resellers to form symbiotic relationships. Under the Avaya’s partner program, Carousel gets better access to Avaya’s resources, and Avaya gets better access to new markets in turn.
Resellers have the ability to tailor Avaya’s products to suit their clients’ needs, midmarket companies in this case. It’s simply not practical for Avaya to directly sell to a lot of smaller companies, which is where resellers like Carousel come in.
These resellers have a lot more local knowledge than Avaya on its own does and know the needs of midmarket companies. These companies are frequently in an awkward spot. They’re growing but still have lower IT budgets than enterprise companies, which makes them a good target for managed services.
Avaya has seen how important this market is to its success and that’s why it recognized Carousel.
"While we salute all of our partners who took the time to be part of our conference this week, special congratulations go to our 2015 award winners for their customer focus and passion for driving results,” Steve Biondi, vice president of global partner organization for Avaya, said. "Our partners are instrumental to Avaya's success, and I'm pleased to recognize Carousel for a third year in the midmarket category."
