AdelaVoice Enhances Its IVR Technology

By Anuradha Shukla, TMCnet Contributor

AdelaVoice, a Boston-based provider of technologies and services that enable the development of creative solutions for mobile phones and smart devices, introduced an upgraded release of StartTalking.

The company claims it is the world's first smartphone application that enables motorists to easily drive while creating and sending text messages.

The latest version is available immediately and is offered free. It comes loaded with attractive features such as additional voice recognition technology and boasts new functionalities such as voice dialing, voice navigation and the ability to personalize the phone's name and greeting.

AdelaVoice (News - Alert) notes that the upgraded version of StartTalking offers users a truly “conversational” service and points out that this unique service is currently not available in the market.

According to a release, StartTalking includes many key features such as send and reply text messaging and integration with other applications and services including Twitter, Facebook and chompSMS.

"We're offering rock-solid reliability and performance with StartTalking," said Chris Hassett (News - Alert), AdelaVoice CEO, in a press release. "Thanks to the many users who sent feedback, we enhanced StartTalking to meet the highest quality level available for a voice-activated service."

StartTalking is a simple application to use and all one has to do is speak commands, dictate messages and listen to messages without touching a single button or look at a screen.

This application can also create audio recordings in a user's voice which can be sent to any mobile smartphone. As the recipients hear the message in the sender's voice, communication is always 100 percent accurate.

In October, AdelaVoice announced the introduction of the StartTalking Mobile Application Developer Program. This initiative is designed to help the developers add a voice-driven user interface to their applications in a fast and low-cost manner.
