Symon Communications Acquires
TargetVision
Symon Communications, Inc. has
acquired TargetVision, Inc., a
provider of visual communication systems and services headquartered in
Rochester, N.Y. The acquisition builds on Symon’s 22 years of profitable
delivery of products that collect, analyze, report and optimize
mission-critical performance and productivity information for contact
centers, data centers and other business applications. The addition of the
TargetVision product line enhances this technology line-up with television
and plasma displays driven by software that transforms and broadcasts data
creatively, integrating graphics and text with full-motion video.
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. With the acquisition, Symon
gains TargetVision’s unique enterprise communications software that drives
creative content delivered via television and plasma screens. The company
also gains the benefit of TargetVision’s highly experienced communications
professionals, who rank at the top of the industry in relaying cable,
commercial news feeds, education and employee communications, and global
information services to enterprises large and small. Going forward,
TargetVision will operate as a division of Symon.
Together Symon and TargetVision form an impressive combination of skills,
experience, technology and industry know-how. With more than 4 million
combined daily viewers of delivered real-time information, over 6,000
installations, a global presence, and a full blown complementary product
portfolio, Symon now incorporates the strengths of TargetVision to offer
the industry comprehensive world-class communication solutions.
“There couldn’t be a better fit for our company,” said Charles Ansley,
president and CEO of Symon Communications. “The addition of TargetVision
to our suite of real-time productivity and workforce management tools
allows us to offer enterprise communications solutions from the boardroom
to the break room. For Symon and TargetVision, it’s a whole new exciting
ballgame.”
“This venture is exactly the right step for TargetVision,” said Kevin
Kuppel, who has served as TargetVision’s president of Business Operations
and long-time company executive. “We have been searching for a way to take
our technology and people to the next level in global delivery. With Symon,
we accomplish that and more, offering our customers new capabilities and
our employees exciting new opportunities.” Kuppel will continue with the
company as the TargetVision division chief financial officer.
“This is an important strategic move for both Symon Communications and
TargetVision,” Ansley continued. “Through this venture, customers,
stakeholders and employees of both companies all win. Symon gains a wider
variety of delivery methods and integration of unique and creative message
content, complete with full-motion video. TargetVision products will be
enhanced by Symon’s specialized technology along with the company’s global
strength and reach. And employees become part of a new Symon with almost
limitless industry capabilities.”
