WiredContact Intros New Features For ACT!

WiredContact announced the introduction of powerful new product features designed to make it even easier for sales professionals and virtual workforces to get the information they need with instant, real-time remote access to their ACT! database. With WiredContact, users can manage their ACT! contacts and benefit from expanded reporting capabilities, the ability to send broadcast, personalized HTML emails, integration with wireless Pocket PCs and enhanced security options, among other features. In addition, the new WiredContact X3 release has a new graphical, updated web interface that provides a more complete end-user experience.

WiredContact's new capabilities are being offered to new customers and to the more than 1,500 companies who have selected WiredContact as their online contact manager. With WiredContact, more than 100 people can continue to share the same information in real-time, while changes made online are automatically updated in ACT! on the server.

"Companies today need a web solution for ACT! that they can depend on, and our new features are an example of the reliability and versatility that WiredContact is known for," said Ed Dempsey, president and CEO of WiredContact. Highlights of WiredContact's new features include:

  • � Ability to send broadcast HTML emails: WiredContact users can send personalized, graphically appealing HTML emails to thousands of contacts at one time. Regardless of whether version ACT! 5.0 or 6.0 is on the server, users can enhance their email communications, which are automatically recorded to history.
  • Powerful interactive reporting capabilities: WiredContact's reports are easily configurable and extremely flexible to help users identify, measure and react to sales forecasts, activities and contacts. The user-friendly Report Wizards allow the user to create custom reports based on numerous variables at one time. The predefined stock reports provide one-click access to frequently used reports, already pre-formatted. In addition, users can download information to Excel, providing an easy way to chart sales pipelines. Contact and other detailed information can be downloaded to a hard drive for local access or imported to a Palm Pilot.
  • Intuitive interface and flexibility for web access: The new WiredContact X3 interface includes enhanced graphics and takes advantage of web-based technology to the maximum. Users interact with a customizable, intuitive and extremely flexible interface, just as in an actual web page. With one-click functions, it is easy to navigate, access and update ACT! in real-time�all through the web browser. In addition, the interface can be easily customized to individual company needs by using industry standard HTML editors, such as Microsoft Front Page.
  • Compatibility with wireless Pocket PC: Users can be truly mobile as they access and update their ACT! contacts on the go from their wireless Pocket PC. Using the browser of the Pocket PC, one can see all the web pages from WiredContact and make changes to share in real-time with other web, wireless and local network users.
  • Data protection through increased security features: Managers can restrict access to contacts and control what information users can see, update, edit or delete. For example, one can restrict a territory sales representative to only access contacts within a region, while a national manager can access all contacts. With WiredContact's data protection, information remains secure.

"Revitalizing our use of ACT! for better client service results was a big IT initiative here," said Ray Sirois, IT Manager for Wright-Pierce, an engineering and surveying firm. "Having a web-enabled front end has been a key part of the  success.
