The T-Mobile (News - Alert) Sidekick iD, powered by the Danger mobile Internet platform, is now available at T-Mobile’s website and retail stores nationwide.
The T-Mobile Sidekick iD not only expands the T-Mobile Sidekick family but also offers a many options focusing on individuality and staying connected. The T-Mobile Sidekick iD becomes a popular choice for Internet savvy, mobile messaging users when combined with the familiar swivel-screen and full QWERTY keyboard, as well as Danger's suite of mobile Internet applications.
People now have the option to choose a device according to their lifestyles and budgets from the T-Mobile Sidekick iD, the T-Mobile Sidekick 3, and even the T-Mobile Sidekick 3, D-Wade Edition.
Accessories for T-Mobile Sidekick iD include a customizable exterior that provides quick modification enabling users to mix and match based on mood, personal style, or their dress. The users also have the options for ‘blinging’ devices or wrapping them with unique graphic designs.
The new options are in addition to the standard customization choices that already exist on the T-Mobile Sidekick 3 including support for one-click downloads from Danger’s on-device premium services catalog to add ringtones, games and even productivity applications. Custom audio and visual alerts can also be created by the users and photos from the photo album can be used as the default key guard screen.

Powered by Danger's mobile Internet platform, the T-Mobile Sidekick iD offers Internet applications including instant messaging (AIM, Yahoo! Messenger and Windows Live Messenger), e-mail and text messaging, as well as full HTML Web browsing.
Since other signature Danger capabilities are standard on all T-Mobile Sidekick devices, including multitasking, users can do things such as surf the Web and chat with friends via instant messaging simultaneously, as well as an always-on mobile Internet connection that enables push e-mail.
The T-Mobile Sidekick iD will also have T-Mobile’s myFaves interface, which enables effortless calling, texting, multimedia messaging and e-mail. The interface also offers the ability to easily customize the home screen with photos of users’ five favorite friends and family members.
