The monitor also fits the bill for standards-based point-of-sale terminals. It is ideal for a variety of retail applications including ATMs, store self check-out terminals, airport and hotel check-in and bridal registry.

 

The monitor is based on the avant-garde acoustic wave technology which ensures exceptional precision and clarity. It offers a unique combination of affordability, durability and reliability. It also comes with a removable magnetic stripe reader, which can be easily detached for servicing.

 

The monitor conforms to the RoHS Directive, which prohibits the use of certain hazardous substances in electronic appliances. The new monitor can be conveniently incorporated into Dell's standards-based POS solutions.

 

 

Priced at $529, the Dell E157FPT will hit the shelves in February. With the attachable magnetic stripe reader, the monitor lists at $589. The monitor comes as an independent peripheral or integrated into the Dell system. It also comes with a three-year limited warranty.
