The new line of professional PCs – the VAIO BZ series notebooks are built for business. These lightweight PCs have the compatibility and productivity features that IT professionals and business customers require.

 

The BZ notebook has a 15.4-inch widescreen display and full-size keyboard. At the same time, it weighs less than six pounds. An optional anti-glare screen that has XBRITE-ECO LCD technology provides crystal-clear picture. The unit is placed in a durable carbon-fiber magnesium alloy casing to endure knocks, bumps and accidents. The G-Sensor Shock Protection technology is also incorporated to counteract sudden movements and thus helps prevent damage and data loss.

 

The spill-resistant keyboard panel helps protect internal components against accidental spills. The BZ notebook is powered by Intel (News - Alert) Centrino 2 technology, the chipset that is designed for high performance and system responsiveness. Select models have the Intel vPro technology incorporated which helps managers to fix PC-related problems remotely. The PC also has a stripped-down software load that enables the notebook to be imaged faster. This reduces the set up time required.

This notebook delivers the robust performance they require.”

 

 The BZ notebook has built-in 802.11n wireless LAN capabilities that make it easier to check email and surf the web with greater range and reliability. The PC has a biometric fingerprint sensor, which is a Trusted Platform Module compliant chip and proprietary hard disk drive password protection software to help protect data from unauthorized access. It is pre-installed with Windows Vista Business operating system. A Windows XP Pro downgrade is included for easy integration into existing platforms.

 

VAIO Care, a total lifecycle management program provided by Sony, supports a business’s need throughout the lifecycle of the project. Extended service, accidental damage protection options, 24/7 customer support and a dedicated phone line for business customers are the components of this program. The VAIO Professional BZ Series notebook is priced at about $1,000.
