Averatec Launches New 12.1 Inch Notebook

By Anuradha Shukla, TMCnet Contributing Editor

Averatec has further established the company into the portable notebook PC segment by launching a new 12.1" notebook

The 2575 notebook expands Averatec line of full-featured ultra-thin, ultra portable notebooks. Featuring contemporary industrial design this brand new 12.1" offering incorporates the power of AMD's (News - Alert) Turion 64 X2 dual-core mobile technology. Thanks to Averatec's powerful, yet efficient design, the device runs cool to the touch, and provides style not normally found in ultra-portable, ultra-light form factors.

Averatec newest launch is pre-installed with Windows Vista Home Premium operating system, and features a 12.1" wide screen, a built-in 1.3M (News - Alert) pixel webcam, 250GB of disk storage and comes with 2GB of system memory.

The 2575 is available now at major online resellers and through Averatec online at an MSRP of $1099. The product is backed by a one-year limited warranty (six months for the battery) and one-year, toll-free technical support available 24/7.

Darren Lee, director of Marketing at Averatec expressed his company’s excitement to introduce their 2575 model. Lee believes the introduction of this product marks a new era for Averatec on their notebook product line and will provide a great foundation for their upcoming All-in-One desktop product launch.

Averatec is a provider of innovative mobile electronic products and is dedicated to delivering the highest quality products backed by superior service.

According to IDC's (News - Alert) Worldwide Quarterly PC Tracker, worldwide PC shipments are projected to grow by 12.8 percent in 2008 to reach 302 million units. The research firm says that growth will continue at above 11 percent in 2009 followed by high single-digit growth through 2012. This will boost annual shipments to over 426 million in 2012.
