Blue Raven Technology has introduced the MobileMate, an adaptor which allows consumers flexibility in using their landline handsets to make use of their cellular plans.
The adaptor offers users the convenience of using their mobile handsets to make and receive calls on their land line. The adapter also includes native Bluetooth
functionality which does not require another adaptor, said Blue raven in a press release.
Blue Raven Technology offers repair services for consumer electronics products besides supplying genuine Apple, Compaq, HP, Toshiba, eMachines, Gateway (News
) and Sony parts in the U.S.
Glen Kashgegian, President of Blue Raven, said in the press release, “We looked at this category and saw products that were highly rated but too expensive, and products that were cheap, and worked that way. We saw an opportunity to provide consumers with tremendous value.”
“Many people dock their cell phones for the night once they come home, making it inconvenient to use in the house. Now you can use your cell phone plan, which often has unlimited long distance, to place calls from your home phone handset, which is often more conveniently located,” he said.
The MobileMate 1380 Bluetooth Home and Mobile Phone Adaptor makes use of Bluetooth technology for connecting virtually with any Bluetooth-enabled cell phone to a land line phone. Hence callers can use both the phones on both the networks.
The adaptor provides connection when the Bluetooth phone is within its range. Both the mobile phone and land line phone would ring simultaneously when a call is received and the user can answer from any phone.
The MobileMate adaptor comes with two RJ11 jacks for line in and line out, a 12V DC power output, an AC adaptor and a phone card. The device weighs 3.2 ounces.
