NeoMagic will demonstrate its MiMagic semiconductor product line for mobile handheld devices at the 2008 Consumer Electronics Show (CES ( News - Alert)) in Las Vegas.
The company will demonstrate its Windows Mobile OS based Manufacturing Kit, the Neonode N2, a digital mobile broadcast TV device, and its wireless IP camera solution.
Doug Young, CEO of NeoMagic Corporation expressed his company’s excitement to be demonstrating mobile devices in production from partners across the globe. Young said in a statement that the company wants to show some amazing products created by the combination of integrated MiMagic chip solutions and the design innovations developed by partners.
A one-of-a-kind smartphone product, the Neonode N2 boasts a unique form-factor, a host of multimedia features, and a new generation of touch-screen-only user interface. According to NeoMagic, the architecture combined with Neonode's pioneering design is responsible for producing this mobile multimedia device.
The company provides the Windows Mobile OS based Manufacturing Kit in a complete software package on CD-ROM. The kit includes a complete cost and feature competitive form-factor reference design, schematics with walk-through documents, the board layout with a layout guidelines document, a full BOM, the Windows Mobile 5.0 BSP, a software design guide, a user's guide, complete download utilities, optimized GSM/GPRS image code, and all drivers, codecs.
NeoMagic intends to demonstrate a digital mobile television based on the ISDB-T standard with recording capabilities that is in production using their MiMagic 6+ Application Processor ( News - Alert). In addition, the company will demonstrate their prototype T-DMB solution based on their MiMagic 8 and NMTV family of chips. The company explained that its solutions support each of the major worldwide standards including: ISDB-T, T-DMB, DVB-H and CMMB.
NeoMagic's wireless IP camera solution can talk directly to a wireless router without having to connect via a PC. Users can set up the camera with a few very simple steps and monitor their home, office, business or any other place from anywhere, anytime over the Internet via a secure link.
