Make No Mistake: More Is More

iMerge Partners Pavilion At IT Expo

Exhibitor Descriptions

Some people would have you believe that "less is more." Obviously, that's because they have less to offer. At Technology Marketing Corporation, we are firm believers in the theory that more is more, especially when it comes to educational opportunities. In keeping with this theory, we are proud to present the all-new INTERNET TELEPHONY CONFERENCE & EXPO, which takes place this October 46 at the world renowned Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego, CA.

This year's event has grown to twice the size of last year's. Double the booths, double the products -- that's TWICE the show it was in 1999. And as for educational opportunities, our conference program has grown as well. There are nearly 50 percent more sessions to choose from, within the following tracks: Corporate/Enterprise; Service Providers; Developers/Resellers; and General & Special Interest. Conceived and developed by the editors of TMC's industry-leading publications -- Internet Telephony, Communications Solutions, and C@ll Center CRM Solutions -- with help from the engineers of TMC Labs, the conference program at this year's Internet Telephony Conference and EXPO is truly the most comprehensive, most complete learning experience being offered in the industry today.

EXHIBIT HALL
As mentioned, the "more is more" philosophy extends to the Exhibit Hall at Internet Telephony Conference and EXPO as well. With well over 100 vendors exhibiting at this year's event, we've doubled the amount of products and services available for you to check out. There's simply no better place to come "kick the tires" or just learn about the wealth of new offerings from the industry's leading vendors such as Alcatel, Quicknet Technologies, Tundo, Cisco, 3Com, Odin TeleSystems, Lucent, Motorola, Marconi, Ericsson, APC, AG Communication Systems, Natural MicroSystems... and that's just scratching the surface! The list goes on and on.

There will also be several special features and attractions going on inside the Exhibit Hall at this year's Internet Telephony Conference and EXPO. Leading the charge will be AG Communication Systems, which will anchor the AGCS iMerge Partner Pavilion. For more information on this special attraction, check out the sidebar entitled "iMerge Partners Pavilion At IT Expo."

ConvergeNET
Making its return to the Internet Telephony Conference and EXPO lineup is ConvergeNET, the industry's first and largest multi-vendor interoperability proving ground.

ConvergeNET is a live, on-site network, which participants connect to, showcasing their IP telephony standards compliance. It consists of a TCP/IP-based network that brings IP telephony clients, gateways, and gatekeepers together in a proof-of-concept environment -- right on the Exhibit Hall floor. TMC's ConvergeNET allows each exhibitor to connect their products with the products of other exhibitors to prove that their Internet telephony products do in fact interoperate.

In its continuing effort to provide EXPO attendees with real-world demonstrations of technologies and services in action, ConvergeNET is where attendees can truly be educated about VoIP interoperability -- not just in theory, but in practice. Interoperability demonstrations that can be represented at ConvergeNET include -- but are not limited to -- direct VoIP calls using the H.323, SIP, or MGCP protocols, VoIP calls through a gatekeeper, fax over IP, video conferencing using NetMeeting and/or other applications, SS7 signaling with a VoIP solution, support for iNOW!, and Linux interoperability using the Opensource technique.

Currently the longest-running IP telephony interoperability event in the industry, ConvergeNET promises even greater interoperability success this year at Internet Telephony Conference and EXPO. Don't miss this unique opportunity!

KEYNOTES
Once again, we have lined up a fascinating group to deliver the keynote addresses at the show. Following an introduction by Rich Tehrani, TMC's President, Conference Chairman, and group Editor in Chief, attendees will have the opportunity to hear visionary keynotes from Mr. Stacey Reinneccius, President and CEO of Quicknet Technologies; Mr. Gordon Payne, Vice President of Sales and Marketing of Tundo Corporation; Mr. Peter Alexander, VP Enterprise Marketing of Cisco Systems; and high-level executives of Alcatel and AG Communication Systems (TBD).

NETWORKING RECEPTIONS
What can be a more fitting end to a day of conferences and exhibits than an oceanfront, poolside networking reception at this majestic locale? Each day at Internet Telephony Conference and EXPO concludes with a focused networking reception held outside on the exquisite grounds of the Hotel del Coronado (Wednesday 10/4 at 6:30pm; Thursday 10/5 at 7:30pm). These receptions are the ideal setting for cementing existing relationships -- and generating profitable new ones with new partners or new vendors. The receptions at Internet Telephony Conference and EXPO are forever distinguished by the partnerships spawned there overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?
If you haven't yet done so, please register now for the fastest growing Conference and EXPO in this dynamic industry. Visit our Web site for more details. Don't miss this wonderful opportunity to experience a world-class conference, explore an unparalleled trade show Exhibit Hall, and network with the industry's best and brightest -- all at one of America's premiere resort locations. iMerge Partners Pavilion At IT Expo

AG Communication Systems is bringing together a group of vendors that make the best voice-over-Internet Protocol (VoIP) endpoints in the industry to its iMerge Partners Pavilion at Internet Telephony Conference and EXPO. The demonstration will show how the 7R/E iMerge Centrex Feature Gateway offers more value to users while being easier to deploy and manage. The companies participating with AG Communication Systems in the iMerge Partners Pavilion are Netergy Networks, e-tel corporation, CIDCO, and congruency, Inc. (others not yet confirmed are UniData, Symbol and Quicknet).

The iMerge CFG -- developed by AG Communication Systems and available today as part of Lucent Technologies' 7R/E Packet Solutions portfolio -- extends office Centrex features over packet networks, giving users the ultimate VoIP service. The product combines the inherent reliability of the public switched telephone network with the cost-saving advantages of the packet network. Most important, however, are the revenue-generating applications that make employees more effective and enterprises more competitive.

AG Communication Systems is linking its Partner Pavilion booths in a local-area network to the iMerge CFG. Attendees will be able to call from booth to booth and vendor to vendor. More than that, they will be able to see demos of hundreds of local calling features, such as three-way calling, call transfer, call forward, etc. This fully featured, multi-vendor environment has never before been demonstrated in the VoIP industry.

Most exciting, however, will be the demonstration of various iMerge applications, including multi-location Centrex, virtual office for road warriors, seamless work environments for teleworkers, and virtual call centers. These applications are powerful new ways to communicate that have been promised from many vendors for more than a year, but never rolled out.

AG Communication Systems, a subsidiary of Lucent Technologies, offers service providers advanced network-based solutions, including circuit and packet switching, VoIP and IP Centrex, call center, integrated access, and wireless office system products. The Phoenix-based company develops end-user applications that maximize revenue opportunities for service providers. AG Communication Systems also provides a full range of enhanced services, including installation, engineering, consulting, project management and technical support, to help customers manage their networks from beginning to end.
