MPS-2000

Tripp Lite
500 N. Orleans
Chicago, IL 60610

Tripp Lite has added the MPS-2000 On-Line UPS System to its Unison line. The MPS-2000 is billed as a “true” on-line uninterruptible power supply system, providing zero transfer time and total AC line isolation. The product protects sensitive systems by completely isolating them from all AC line power problems, including blackouts, brownouts, spikes, surges, and line noise. The MPS-2000 converts incoming AC into filtered DC power, then resynthesizes it to perfect sine-wave AC power. Six diagnostic indicator lights keep users informed of UPS activity (Receiving Voltage, Correcting Voltage, Operating in Bypass Mode) and status (Load and Battery Charge Levels and Battery Replacement Warning).

PowerAlert Plus Network UPS Management Software and complete cabling are included in the purchase price of the Tripp Lite system. The software enables automatic shutdown, remote power condition viewing, enhanced power graphing, and cross-platform control. The PowerAlert Plus software is capable of managing both Tripp Lite’s and American Power Conversion’s UPS systems. Users with mixed installations can now manage both from one software package. Furthemore, MPS-2000 has an exceptional, $100,000 Ultimate Lifetime Insurance policy for connected equipment against surge damage — even direct lightning strikes. TELEGATE v2.0

Array Telecom
1120 Finch Avenue West
8th Floor
Toronto, ON, Canada
M3J 3H7

Array Telecom’s TELEGATE version 2.0, is the company’s newest generation of its Internet telephony software solution. Enhancements to the gateway solution include DSP-based voice and fax processing, utilizing the same CODEC as was previously used on earlier versions of the product. A high-density solution, Version 2.0 provides greater communications flexibility with new fax capabilities and a higher call volume, making it the ideal voice over IP solution for ISPs, carriers, and call center operations. Enhancements on TELEGATE mean that each DSP card will support a maximum of 30 simultaneous voice conversations or fax connections. This represents a 6-fold call volume increase over previous versions of TELEGATE. As well, the new solution does not force the user to perform manual switching of fax or phone lines, or force users to dedicate lines as a voice or data line. The product’s automatic switching means each channel may be used for voice or fax on a dynamic basis. Version 2.0 provides for higher density gateways, higher density interfaces, and real-time fax connectivity.

TELEGATE gateways utilizing DSPs support a variety of interface cards, including T1, E1, ISDN BRI, ISDN PRI, analog loop, and station interface. The product targets large distributed networks and includes full remote configuration and management of all gateways and services. The client/server data management utilizes a hierarchical architecture that provides centralized control of call routes, with automatic distribution of call routes and privileges to each gateway as needed. Furthermore, call routes are cached at various levels to support rapid call setup. For more information, contact Bob Burrows at 416-736-0901, or visit the company’s Web site at www.telecom.array.ca

Clearwater, FL 34620

Tadiran Telecommunications’ Coral SL continues the evolution of Tadiran’s FourthGeneration Global multimedia switching platform, the Coral Integrated Services Business Exchange (ISBX). Incorporating the same core software as its predecessors — the larger Coral I, Coral II, and Coral III systems — Coral SL utilizes a powerful new processor and offers features generally not found in systems of this size.

The SL can be configured as a PBX or hybrid/key system. In fact, using Coral Qnet (a QSIG global standard for networking) the Coral SL can operate in a multi-vendor network. Digital trunks for T1/E1, ISDN BRI, and ISDN PRI allow the Coral SL to take advantage of the high-speed digital offerings for voice, video, and data.
