EDITORIAL OPPORTUNITIES
TMCnet.com accepts writing from vendors, industry pundits, analysts,
and anyone else with intelligent commentary on the industries we cover. We
run contributed bylined articles each month based on a variety of topics pertinent to our readership, as outlined below. E-mail TMCnet for more information.
OUR READERS
TMCnet.com's readership comprises telecom, datacom,
and call center managers; developers and systems integrators; distributors
and resellers; VARs and interconnects; MIS departments and other
technology managers; plus telcos, cable companies, and all types of
service providers.
TMCnet.com imparts information that will
help readers become voice and data communications technology advocates (who will justify
purchasing decisions) and participants (who will make these technologies
work in any given implementation -- whether it be call centers, the
central office, or a corporate enterprise). When addressing our audience,
emphasize the practical and the technological. As with our other TMC
products, we aim to enrich the reader's overall knowledge of the computer
telephony and call center technology industries, including
emerging technologies, market trends, and business opportunities.
STYLE
We recognize that satisfying our audience requires authors to prepare
material of significant technical depth. Further, as content becomes more
technical, it necessarily becomes less generic and more vendor-specific.
Nonetheless, we reject a highly commercial or "advertorial"
approach. Rather, we embrace a more formal, restrained, white paper or
how-to tone.
We encourage our writers to take advantage
of the online medium by including hypertext in their articles. Please
include links to or the URLs for the Web sites of standards bodies,
industry organizations, analyst reports, etc.
IMPORTANT
Your article should be comprehensive, original, and noncommercial. In all
likelihood, you will have to describe what is unique about your
technology. But stay technical. Avoid superlatives (the "best,"
the "only," etc.). We reject blatantly commercial material.
