Alert) Technologies, a provider of wireless and wired broadband deployments and telecommunication technology and solutions, has
announced that it has entered a distribution partnership with Wavion Wireless Networks for North America. Through this alliance, Winncom will be able to offer Wi-Fi solutions that leverage Wavion’s powerful, spatially adaptive beamforming technology, to the customers in the North American region.
Wavion has introduced a new category of spatially adaptive base stations that are helpful for the metro Wi-Fi and rural markets. It has evolved digital beamforming and SDMA technologies, which are the first and only to resolve the significant performance, penetration and profitability challenges facing large scale metro and rural deployments. The company had been founded in the year 2000, and has been continuously demonstrating its global presence by offering carrier class wireless base stations that provide the latest technology and performance to the market.
The WBS-2400 and WBS-5800 Wi-Fi Base Stations are two new devices introduced by Wavion that leverage the digital beamforming and Space Division Multiple Access or ‘SDMA’ technology. SDMA is a powerful technology that allows service providers, communities, and enterprises to provide coverage for two to three times larger area than conventional access points, overcome non-line-of-sight geographical limitations, and cope effectively with interferences and indoor penetration. The technology helps the enterprises in achieving approximately 50 percent reduction in total cost of ownership, the company claims.
In a release, Gregory Raskin, president and CEO of Winncom Technologies, said the company recognizes the advantages of being selected as the exclusive North American master distributor for Wavion Networks, and believes that Wavion will play an important role in the resurgence of outdoor Wi-Fi networks as carriers need a way to inexpensively increase the bandwidth and availability for the burgeoning smartphone market. Raskin continued that Wavion's technology allows for the cost effective expansion of carrier networks, campus networks, and other wide-scale Wi-Fi deployments, and Winncom is happy to offer Wavion Networks to its extensive network of resellers and integrators.
Tal Meirzon, CEO at Wavion, the company is very pleased to have Winncom Technologies, a large and well respected distributor of telecommunication products, as its master distributor for North America. Meirzon noted that Wavion is looking forward to leveraging Winncom's sales force, local support and wide expertise to expand its market share within North America.
In February Wavion
announced that it had entered a partnership with BHU, company’s distributor in the Chinese market to provide video surveillance for 'Peace City' project in China.
