Aruba Networks Unveils Three New Reference Guides for Network Integrators

By Jyothi Shanbhag, TMCnet Contributing Editor

Aruba Networks (News - Alert), Inc has announced the availability of three new reference guides i.e. Campus Wireless Networks Validated Reference Design v3.3, Retail Wireless Networks Validated Reference Design v3.3 and Wired Multiplexer (MUX) Validated Reference Design v3.3 specially designed for integrators.

Chuck Lukaszewski, Aruba's Director of Professional Services said in a statement that these guides were intended to lower installation and maintenance costs by providing validated reference designs that integrators can use to plan, deploy, and support Aruba wireless LANs and security solutions.

All three reference designs can be downloaded from Aruba's Website.

Newly released, Campus Wireless Networks Validated Reference version is designed to provide network administrators with guidelines to design and deploy a centralized enterprise-wide wireless network.

This version is built to serve enterprise, higher education, healthcare and other typical campus deployments involving thousands of users spread across different buildings that are joined by SONET, MPLS or other high-speed, high-availability backbones.

Wired Multiplexer (MUX) Validated Reference guide is designed for a wired network access control system that enables specific wired Ethernet ports on a customer network to benefit from Aruba’s role-based security features.

Retail Wireless Networks Validated Reference design guide provides best practice architecture for retailers who want to deploy centrally managed and secure WLANs with wireless intrusion detection capability across the entire retail enterprise.

This version is aimed to serve common retail facility types including large footprint stores, small footprint stores, warehouses, distribution centers, fulfilment centers, and commonly encountered hardened areas such as cold storage and outdoor yards.

Chuck Lukaszewski added that, “Our validated reference designs include product recommendations, network layouts, configuration procedures, and deployment best practices for common customer applications.”

He continued, “Each Aruba design is thoroughly tested in a lab environment by Aruba engineers. By using these proven designs, our customers are able to rapidly deploy Aruba solutions with the assurance that they will perform and scale as expected."

Aruba is based in Sunnyvale, California, and has operations throughout the Americas, Europe, Middle East, and Asia Pacific regions. The company securely delivers networks to users, wherever they work or roam.

As TMCnet reported, the company received three Gold Star Mobile Star Awards for WLAN Management, WLAN Network Coverage, and Portable Remote Connectivity Gear. Announcing the award, Aruba Networks said it was awarded by MobileVillage as part of its seventh annual Mobile Star Awards program.
