If you’ve ever done business in the United Kingdom and not known where to find your nearest and best WiFi hotspot, now there’s help for you.

 

Orange Business Services (News - Alert) offers access to more than 10,000 wireless hotspots around the country and has developed an online tool to identify the top 100 best places for someone to find wire-free work near them.

 

“Business people working on their laptops in coffee shops are now a common site, but sometimes it can be hard to find a place where it is easy and comfortable to get on with your work,” said Paul Tollet, vice president, Orange Business Services. “By critiquing all of our hotspots with work in mind we have built the directory to not only locate with pinpoint accuracy where the closest WiFi (News - Alert) places are but also, with our star rating system, the best places to work whatever your specific needs may be.”

 

Orange has been scouring the UK, developing a detailed directory of hotspot locations for all towns and cities, big and small.

 

By entering your postcode into the search bar on the Orange WiFi workplaces site, you will receive a list of the 10 best places for wireless working nearest you. Clicking on one of the locations will take you directly to a map and include the full address and contact details of the hotspot location.

 

To make it into the top 10, the site has a star-rating system, which marks one to five the following factors for the best wireless working environment: power for access to an electricity supply; food and drink to keep energy levels up for a working lunch; outside space to get some sun; a work-friendly environement, where mobile workers are welcome; comfort, depending on if you like to work on a comfy sofa or a hardback chair; and the “wow factor,” if you need to impress someone.

 

Through its partnerships with The Cloud and BT (News - Alert) Openzone, Orange has one of largest WiFi networks in the UK and access to more than 40,000 hotspots worldwide. Go online and find your nearest hotspot: http://www.orange.co.uk/wifi or http://orange.hotspot-directory.com/top100/
