StarMesh Teams with Pulse to Deliver Metro WiFi

By Cindy Waxer, TMCnet Contributing Editor

This has been a busy year for StarMesh Technologies, a provider of wireless VoIP and wireless data products and services. In March, the company’s Hopling Technologies brand announced the signing of a contract, worth a minimum of 1 million euro per year, by which Hopling will provide WebNet CWN with instant-ready-to-operate wireless metropolitan area network solutions for the North- and South-American markets.

A month earlier StarMesh had announced the finalization of mesh network projects on 20 major train stations and Hotspot coverage of 50 train stations throughout the Netherlands managed by KPN for the Nederlandse Spoorwegen, the national Dutch rail authority.

Now StarMesh has signed a nationwide reseller partnership agreement with Pulse, Inc., a distributor of wireless, telecommunications, and data communications, to carry its Hopling Technologies mesh networking products in the United States.
StarMesh's mesh network solutions from Hopling include a full portfolio of indoor/outdoor access points, billing gateways, base stations and customer premises equipment and wireless mesh routing software that operates in the 2.4GHz, 2.5GHz, 2.6GHz, 3.5GHz, 4.9GHz and 5GHz frequency bands.

Hopling's products provide mobility for wireless IP-based products and services such as voice, video and data for both licensed and unlicensed networks. The Hopling product line includes point-to-point, point-to-multipoint and fully meshed network solutions featuring next generation mesh-based solutions, broadband connectivity with a multitude of IP-enabled devices, and enhanced security applications.

StarMesh's customer base includes Internet service providers, enterprise customers, carriers, local municipal governments, system integrators, resellers and other broadband wireless network developers that want to provide seamless metropolitan coverage through a series of indoor Wi-Fi hotspots, outdoor Wi-Fi Hotzones and very large metropolitan Wi-Fi mesh networks.

Hopling's wireless mesh networks support wireless high-speed Internet access, Wi-Fi mobile phones using wireless Voice over IP (VoIP), mobile IP services, and Video Verified Security services.
