Iskratel signed a partnership agreement to market WiMAX broadband access products and solutions in Eastern Europe and Russia.

 

Iskratel is recognized as a developer and manufacturer of switching and access infrastructure solutions in Central and Eastern Europe and CIS countries.

 

Telsima (News - Alert) Corporation is a provider of Mobile WiMAX and WiMAX (News - Alert) Certified Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) solutions. Telsima's innovative technologies offers service providers with economical advantages, new business models and more capital efficient network investment profiles.

 

According to the agreement, Iskratel has to integrate Telsima’s WiMAX products into Iskratel’s SI3000 Multi Service Access Node (MSAN) product and also sell wireless broadband solutions under the brand name SI3000 WiMAX. SI3000 WiMAX systems were deployed in Russia, Kazakhstan, Tadzhikistan and Slovenia.

 

Telsima StarMAX 6400 and Iskratel SI3000 WiMAX share the same platform architecture and blades.

 

Telsima StarMAX and SI3000 WiMAX innovative solutions allows operators to offer their customers with fixed, nomadic and mobile services with MIMO (Multiple-Input, Multiple-Output) performance capacity and ASN (Access Service Network) control.

Since most of the legacy fixed-line networks in these regions are not capable of supporting high speed connections broadband access in these markets will be wireless. An Iskratel/Telsima partnership is well suited to successfully market WiMAX solutions to the telecommunications service providers in these burgeoning markets.”
