Wi-Fi TV is now utilizing its new Wi-FiLiveBuy technology, developed exclusively for the company by Consolidated Streaming Inc., to power a new portion of its global distribution platform.
“Bringing the proven Internet TV delivery of Wi-Fi TV, which already includes hundreds of TV channels with live chat capability and the availability of infomercials, to the multibillion dollar online auction industry, is "an exciting next step for Wi-Fi TV, which Consolidated Streaming is proud to be a supplier of cutting edge technology for," said Keith Friedman, President, Consolidated Streaming, in a statement.
Got-Art.US was granted a limited time first option to obtain exclusive marketing access to Wi-Fi TV Auctions. A final determination by Got-Art.US and Wi-Fi TV Inc. regarding whether that option is exercised will be made within two weeks.
Wi-Fi TV said it will soon become the first ever Web site with the integrated ability to host live eCommerce auctions with video and a shopping cart. The Company has secured the URLs www.Wi-FiLiveBuy.com and www.MyWi-FiPrice.com and these URLs are already pointed to the Wi-Fi TV Web site.
"With AllGolfTV.com as our Golf Internet TV partner, and potentially with Got-Art.US as our Wi-Fi TV auction partner, Wi-Fi TV is off to a fast start in 2008 to develop and market an expanded www.Wi-FiTV.com on a global basis, with an attention on revenue generation from Wi-Fi TV station sales, video and banner ad sales, and product sales," said Alex Kanakaris, Chairman, Wi-Fi TV, in a statement.
Wi-Fi TV, launched in 1995 is a pioneer of TV on the Internet. Wi-Fi TV Inc. has long touted the coming convergence of TV and the Internet, and provided the first online movie in December 1995. It provides Social Internet TV, a new generation TV delivery platform that has a geographic sphere out-distancing any traditional cable or over-the-air TV broadcaster.
The Wi-Fi TV Web provides visitors with hundreds of TV stations and lets users chat with others watching the same program in a live chat box directly under the viewing screen. The site additionally is a source for breaking news offers a free downloads for making phone calls and hosting live video parties.
