POSBRO, a subsidiary of POSDATA for mobile WIMAX device, is all set to launch mobile WIMAX online game business in the US market. The announcement was made by the company at CES (News - Alert).

 

As 2008 promises to be a year packed with rising technology especially for the high speed mobile WiMAX technology, access to contents and complete entertainment is going to be a smooth ride for the customers.

 

Established in 1973, POSDATA is a full service distributor of integrated payment technologies and services. The company merged with Control Solutions Inc. in 2007 and functions as the Electronic Payment Products and Service division of Control Solutions. POSBRO has been developing mobile WIMAX specialized terminal under the brand name of FLYVO.

 

The company launched the world's first portable online gaming platform, named G100, at WiMAX World USA, Chicago, 2007. This latest gaming platform allows users to download games and access the Internet using high-speed Mobile WiMAX (News - Alert) connections.

 

KT, the world's largest mobile WIMAX operator has already signed a commercial agreement with POSBRO to provide online game service via G100 to KT Wibro network starting early 2008 in Korea.

 

The service via G100 will be launched in US around the beginning of 4Q, 2008, or end of 1Q, 2009.

POSBRO is also adding up variety of online game titles which are optimized for G100 platform.
