Franklin Wireless Announces General Availability of U151 USB Modem

Franklin Wireless (News - Alert), a designer of broadband high speed wireless data communication products, has unveiled the U151 USB modem.




This latest device from the company uses High-Speed Uplink Packet Access (HSUPA) technology and is a single-mode device, posing a sleek and compact design and operates over either 850/1900 MHz or 900/2100 MHz frequency bands.

Users with Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, Linux or Mac OS® X can use this device for its extended support.

For today's on-the-go consumers, this versatile device, U151 USB modem also offers "plug and play" installation with no CD required and includes very intuitive and easy to use connection manager software.

"Our new U151 HSUPA USB modem fills an important need in the mobile computing ecosystem," stated OC Kim, president of Franklin Wireless. "We feel that the U151 will provide many of our carrier partners and their customers with a reliable and very cost effective solution compared to other similar products currently available in the market."

Franklin Wireless is headquartered in San Diego, California, and specializes in the design, manufacture and sale of high speed wireless data products including third generation ("3G") and fourth generation ("4G") modems, routers and modules.

The company’s current products are focused on widely deployed cellular technologies including CDMA EVDO Rev A, HSPA, WiMAX and LTE (News - Alert).

In related news, Franklin Wireless Corp has announced new U600 3G/4G USB mobile broadband modem through Sprint (News - Alert) with some of the enhanced features like 270-degree rotating hinge, four external antenna ports, FUMO and GPS Location Based Services while on 3G and 4G antenna TX diversity which optimizes uploads while on WiMAX (News - Alert).
