EMA Recognizes Knoa for End-User Performance and Productivity Excellence


Knoa Software, a leading provider of end-user experience and performance management software, recently announced that the Enterprise Management Associates (EMA (News - Alert)), a leading industry analyst and consulting firm dedicated to the IT management market, named Knoa as the leader in its report, “An Adopter’s Guide to User Experience Management: How to Pick the Right Quality of Experience (QoE) Solution for You!”



 
“We looked at several vendors in the space and chose Knoa Experience and Performance Manager (EPM) as a leader because it set a very high standard when it comes to looking at end-user productivity metrics for corporate business applications, offering demonstrable ROI,” said Dennis Drogseth (News - Alert), vice president, EMA and author of the research report. “Knoa is able to document and separate ‘received experience’ from ‘achieved experience’ and the granularity with which Knoa can examine these two areas is distinctively rich compared to all the other vendors evaluated.”
 
End-user productivity is the number one driver for QoE and User Experience Management and Knoa’s end-user management solutions provide total monitoring coverage of end-user experience and user behavior across the spectrum of enterprise applications, the company claims.
 
From the perspective of the end-user, their software product monitors application execution and provides precise metrics about the end-user experience in addition to giving measurements on how effectively people execute when using enterprise applications.
 
According to EMA, “There are a lot of terms circulating across the market to describe how to set up metrics for evaluating application and network services as they impact the end-user experience. But probably the most business-relevant and demanding is QoE, or “Quality of Experience,” which is not centered in technology, but in the flesh-and-blood experience of the user consuming IT services.”
 
Based on the research report, “Knoa’s ambition to become the ‘sole-source provider of end-user experience and performance metrics for all the stakeholders in the organization’ seems to be well-grounded in reality. EMA especially likes Knoa’s granularity in separating and documenting end-user behaviors from the ‘received’ performance of the application over the infrastructure, and its well-thought-out reports targeted specifically at collaborative decision making when critical new business applications, or application updates, are rolled out to new user constituencies. The benefits in cost reduction, business performance and reduced risk should be self evident.”
