Valista Campaign Analytics Module Helps Operators Predict Mobile Marketing Campaign Success

Prediction and forecasting has always been big business, whatever its accuracy. On Wall Street, so-called quantification experts or “quants” use various forms of time series analysis (and whatever else they can think of) to attempt to predict the opening price of a share of stock based on its past performance (or sunspots, or whatever). In world of call centers, so-called “predictive dialers” predict when a call center representative is about to finish a call with a customer and thus become available for another call. The predictive dialer automatically goes ahead and calls a customer, then passes the answered call to an agent. Busy signals and answering machines are screened out, and the dialers automatically update call-related records. Predictive dialers can boost productivity greatly. Agents manually dialing outbound numbers might spend about 25 minutes out of each hour talking with customers. Add a predictive dialer to the scenario, and, amazingly, the agents can now spend up to about 57 or 58 minutes an hour talking.

And now, Valista (News - Alert), a leading provider of digital commerce software and managed services, has announced the addition of a comprehensive Campaign Analytics module to its Operator Payments Service. This new module enables operators to more accurately determine individual mobile campaign effectiveness, analyze trends, project revenue and plan network capacity when approving and provisioning new campaigns.

Part of Valista’s Operator Payments Service, the Campaign Analytics module allows mobile operators to predict specific metrics of campaigns based on partner performance history, related popularity of similar campaigns and other trends. This enables operators to better determine which campaigns may be successful and plan performance from both a revenue and network traffic perspective.

“As the market for digital content and services grows, it is critical that mobile operators have greater insight into their partners’ campaigns,” said Fran Heeran (News - Alert), Chief Technical Officer at Valista. “With Valista’s Campaign Analytics module, operators can more effectively manage their partners and associated campaigns while also promoting those campaigns and partners which perform the best whilst understanding and planning network requirements.”

Valista’s Operator Payments Service acts as a bridge between external merchants and the internal operator’s billing infrastructure. It is a hosted model run as a managed service, with European and U.S.-based secure datacenters providing 24x7access to support personnel. The service provides support for single and recurring charges such as subscription services and can enable operators to easily restrict access based on the user’s profile, manage subscription licenses enabling recurring charge management, control user opt-in/out and provide notifications. Valista’s Payments Service controls access to the billing infrastructure with transactional standards-based APIs. The service prevents revenue leakage with real-time authentication and authorization, refund management and integration to financial systems. It also provides comprehensive settlement and reconciliation services allowing automated, accurate settlement calculations with all partners and supports refunds and reversals automatically reflected in settlement statements.
