Infonetics Research, an independent research firm, has named Sonus Networks ( News - Alert) as the leader in the IP-based voice market in its “Service Provider Next Generation Voice and IMS  Equipment Market Forecast” in Q3 2007.
Sonus Networks, Inc., is a supplier of service provider IP-voice infrastructure solutions credits increased traffic and more interest from international operators, with helping to extend its leadership position.
Infonetics reports that Sonus has captured 26 percent of the worldwide market, with 42% coverage in North America region representing increases over Q2 2007.
“In Q3, the company outpaced the overall market growth and secured its leadership position on several fronts,” said Stephane Teral, Principal Analyst, Service Provider Next Gen Voice VoIP  , IMS, and FMC, with Infonetics Research ( News - Alert).
