The Utah Technology Council “UTC” has announced the appointment of 10 new members to its board of trustees. In addition to this, the company has also approved current trustee Jeff Nelson, CEO of Nelson Labs, to serve on its Executive Committee.

UTC serves life science and high-tech companies by sharing insights with industry peers, counsel with government and academic leaders, and receives help from professional service providers and funding resources.

The trustees include David Bradford, currently the CEO of Fusion-io (News - Alert); Gary Crocker, who is the chairman of Merrimack Pharmaceuticals and the founder of Crocker Ventures, LLC in Salt Lake City; Matthew S. Holland, who is currently serving as the sixth president of Utah Valley University “UVU,” and Michael Keene, who is currently the director of Westminster College’s Technology Management MBA Program.

“Each year we strive to bolster our Board with trustees who possess vast experience and knowledge in the technology arena,” said Richard R. Nelson, president and CEO of the UTC. “This year is no exception. Each of these leaders brings a unique background and expertise to UTC. Their innovative spirit will help us forge tremendous technology inroads in 2010 and beyond.”
